BMR Calculator
Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) using multiple formulas. Understand your daily caloric needs and energy expenditure.
What is BMR?
Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the number of calories your body burns at complete rest. It represents the minimum energy needed to keep your body functioning, including breathing, blood circulation, and maintaining organ functions.
Different Formulas
Mifflin-St Jeor: Most accurate for the general population
Harris-Benedict: Traditional formula, slightly overestimates
Katch-McArdle: Most accurate when body fat is known
BMR vs TDEE
While BMR represents calories burned at rest, Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) includes additional calories burned through daily activities and exercise. TDEE is more useful for planning diet and weight management goals.
